It has brought extreme emotions and opinions out. Even the ones who liked it, though, often warn about the gore. In 2005 an edited version was produced, removing some of the worst scenes.

Some serious reservations on it here. Some people have died viewing it, and another woman complained of heart palpitations during and after seeing it. Very disturbing.

Yet, TBN had a program about miracles coming from this same movie, including people who gave their lives to Christ. (http://www.tbn.org) Controversial rather than classic.

The Passion of the Christ movie is not be good for the faint of heart, not recommended for those who cannot handle violence. The Catholic Bishops site recommends it for adults only, Mexico had it X rated when it first came out.

Some of the major stars in this movie have been in porn pictures and movies. Some people inadvertently go to these porn sites. There should be warnings about this! imdb.com, a movie site has a listing of movies Actresses R. Celentano and M. Bellucci were in. I don't know what their current beliefs are. From Scoop news: "Irreversible" movie premiered at the Cannes Film Festival, so shocking that 250 people walked out.
